This easy beef stroganoff recipe is perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Tender beef strips and mushrooms cooked in a creamy sauce, served over pasta.
Ingredients:
- 500g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 250g mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked pasta, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat
Add the onions and garlic, cook until softened
Add the sliced beef to the skillet, and cook until browned
Once the beef is browned, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they're softened
Sprinkle flour over the beef and mushrooms, stir until well combined
Gradually pour in the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens
Reduce heat to low, stir in the sour cream until well incorporated
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Serve the beef stroganoff over cooked pasta
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving
